Changes to Sunday League Cricket for 2017

By NEPL Editor

The League Management Committee has agreed to make various changes to the Sunday Leagues aimed at reducing the number of conceded and uncompetitive matches.

There will be now be three divisions instead of two with each team playing all other teams in their division home and away.

The scheduling of fixtures has been drawn up to avoid as far as possible Clubs having to put out a 2nd XI cup team and a Sunday league team on the same day.

It is hoped to utilise some of the Sundays that are freed up for matches in the Under 15 competition. Sunday League matches will be played over 80 rather than 90 overs which will result in earlier finish times.

The Divisions will be known as Division 1, 2 and 3 and the teams in each league are below.
