North stars in South Northumberland victory.

A round up of today's Royal London ECB Club Championship games with three North East Premier League clubs involved.

An unbeaten 164 in 137 balls sent South Northumberland through to the 3rd round after victory over Sherriff Hutton Bridge in the ECB Club Championship. Winning the toss and electing to bat current champions South Northumberland posted 292/3 from 45 overs with John Graham adding 58 backed by 24 from Adam Cragg. In reply South Northumberland bowled Sherriff Hutton Bridge out for 166 in 35.2 overs as Sam Dale bagged 3-14 in 6.2 overs along with 3-26 from Jonathan Whightman. James Ruddick struck twice for South North.

Chester le Street progressed after a 10 wicket victory over Scarborough CC. The Yorkshire Premier League North outfit won the toss and elected to bat being bowled out for 169 in 45 overs. Liam Simpson (2-38) and Quentin Hughes (2-17) both struck while bowler number 5 John Richard Harrison picked up 3-27. In reply an unbeaten 90 from George Harrison in 101 balls and 66 not out from Kyle Davis in 89 balls saw Chester le Street home in 30.4 overs.

Stockton lost away to North Yorkshire South Durham side Barnard Castle. Batting first Stockton were bowled out for 159 in 35.5 overs with Joe Hewison the only batsman to get going with 64 from 70 balls. 116 runs were on the scoreboard before the first wicket fell as Barnard Castle chased down 161 in just 18.5 overs for the loss of two wickets. Jake Ewart bagged both of Stockton's wickets.
