NEPL Umpires stand in U19s Championship

Brian Morris and Julian Shaw two umpires from the NEPL Panel stood recently at Norton in a two day Under 19 County Championship game on a wicket slightly rain affected. They dealt with many LBW shouts and were under great pressure throughout but stood their ground. Praise comes from John Windows the Academy supremo who pointed out that it is not always the case that the umpiring is of such high standard when all the Academy sides travel away. I did point out that all these home appointments come from Level 2 umpires who were in the top 10 on the last in 2015.
