NEPL AGM Confirmation

By NEPL Editor

At the NEPL AGM on 29 November, Clubs agreed a variety of proposals to strengthen the competitveness of League cricket in 2019 and 2020.

It was decided to allow Stockton to withdraw from the NEPL after 19 years and to wish them well in the NYSD.

As a result the NEPL will operate with only 23 Clubs in 2019 before returning to a full membership of 24 for 2020.

Burnmoor, as runners-up of the First Division in 2018, will replace Stockton in the Premier Division.

Work has started on league fixtures for 2019 and it is hoped that these can be finalised and released before Christmas.

Clubs have recently been consulted on possible changes to the formats of some of the League competitions.

The Management Committee will make decisions on any changes to playing formats taking into account the views received from Clubs'.
