By Gordon Halliday

Lots of entertaining cricket available to watch this weekend.

The Bank Holiday weekend sees two Banks finals and one semi final being played following a rain affected season for the various competitions.

In the Banks Salver Eppleton and Chester-le-Street play their semi-final match at Eppleton on Sunday with a 12.30 start following the abandonment of their match last Sunday. The winners will play Benwell Hill in the final on Sunday 4 September.

The Banks Bowl final between Chester-le-Street and Tynemouth takes place at 12.30 at Ropery Lane on Bank Holiday Monday.

The Banks Shield final takes place at Whitburn on Friday evening with a 5.30 start against opponents Sacriston, following last Friday's abandoned match.

Other highlights this weekend are a top of the table Premier Division clash between South Northumberland and Chester-le-Street on Saturday (11.00 start), whilst South North entertain Ormskirk in the semi-final of the Royal London Club Championship on Sunday (noon start).

Finally a reminder of the Bill Parker memorial match at South Shields on Sunday.
