The LMC is issuing the following statement regarding the 2021 season.

The League Management Committee has decided that the NEPL season will start on Saturday 17 April, subject to being able to meet Government / ECB requirements on Covid matters.. In making this decision the Committee took into account a wide range of considerations, including the views expressed by Clubs and the information provided to date by the Governent and the ECB. The position will be kept under review and may be subject to change should that be necessary to comply with Government or ECB requirements on Covid matters. The Committee will be meeting again before the end of March to finalise such matters as what will happen if matches cannot be played because of Covid related issues and the implications for promotion and relegation, taking into account information from the Government announcement on 22 March and the Premier League Chairs’ meeting on 24 March.
