North East Premier League games on 21st and 22nd May

The LMC has considered whether there should be any rescheduling of matches over the weekend of 21 / 22 May resulting from Sunderland being in the League 1 Play Off Final at Wembley.

The LMC is grateful to Clubs for providing views at short notice. A summary of the views of Clubs is presented below and was taken into account by the LMC in making its decisions which are also set out below.

Summary Of Club Views

1. All 24 Clubs responded with views.
2. Regarding 21 May the summary views were as follows (note 25 responses as one Club provided two views)
Play 15 Clubs
Play 1st XI and reschedule 2nd XI 3 Clubs
Reschedule 5 Clubs (but differing views on when they should be rescheduled to)
No preference 1 Club
Alter start / finish / break times 1 Club
3. Regarding Sunday 22 May the summary views were as follows:
Play 10 Clubs
No comments made 7 Clubs
Reschedule 1 Club
Allow rescheduling 5 Clubs
No preference 1 Club
LMC Decisions
Saturday 21 May
1. All 1st and 2nd XI matches to be played as scheduled (including start, break and finish times).
2. If a Club concedes a 1st XI match it must also concede the 2nd XI match.
3. If one Club concedes the defaulting team will receive no points but will not receive a fine or points deduction.
4. If both Clubs agree not to play the match both teams will receive no points but will not receive a fine or points deduction.
5. A Club intending to concede a match must advise the League Secretary not later than 23.59 on Monday 16 May so that opposition, umpires and other interested parties are aware and can make alternate arrangements.

Sunday 22 May
1. All Banks Salver and 3rd XI matches to be played as scheduled but rearrangement in accordance with competition rules is allowed if both teams agree or is necessary due to no ground availability.
2. If the two teams cannot agree the MPSC will make decisions based on the circumstances of the case.
3. Clubs seeking to rearrange matches should take proactive steps ASAP with a view to advising the League Secretary not later than 23.59 on Monday 16 May so that opposition, umpires and other interested parties are aware and can make alternate arrangements.
